Originating from the brainchild of our enterprising CEO, Dennis Engel, WMG’s story begins with the concept of online tradeshows which was brought into reality under the name Webevents nearly 20 years ago. Investing in the development of our own software, the Webevents platform was designed to generate and manage virtual exhibitions, featuring stands for advertisers, news hubs and knowledge centres.
As business ambition to thrive online grew, an astute perception led to the in-house development of a suite of online marketing products designed to drive targeted traffic to websites. Fuelled by our wealth of data driven tools and growing intellectual property portfolio, 2003 saw our business transition into digital marketing services with a name change to The WebMarketing Group to better reflect the business direction.
