WMG raises over £1,500 for Children In Need

Children in Need took place on Friday 15 November 2019 and raised a staggering £47,886,382 to help change the lives of children and young people across the UK. We are proud to say that WMG and its connected agencies contributed over £1,500 towards this total!

From a bake sale and pyjama day, to a ping pong tournament and charity auction, the whole office had a brilliant time raising money for this worthy cause. Here are some of our Children in Need highlights:

Annual Fundraising Auction
The charity auction started on Thursday morning with items including luxury jewellery, generous gift vouchers, kids toys, a hilarious emoji costume and much more! Ending on Friday afternoon, the bids were counted and we had raised a spectacular £1,135.52!

A massive thank you to everyone who placed a bid and an even bigger thank you to our generous clients Buckley London, Building Materials Nationwide, F.Hinds and Proline Skates who donated brilliant gifts, products and vouchers.

Ping Pong Tournament
As soon as the clock hit 9am, it was time for the office to ‘bounce’ and gather in preparation for our annual Ping Pong Tournament. After 7 hours, 5 rounds and a total of 31 games, Tom Mitchell and Stu McGregor were left to fight for the champion title. It was a nail-biting finale, with the whole office turning up to show their support. But there could be only be one winner… Stu McGregor!

Some brilliant and brave individuals also turned up rocking their glamorous pyjamas and slippers. And after a week of speculating, the cuddly sloth bear name was revealed as ‘Benjamin’ – Jenny Garrett was ecstatic to be declared winner!
